Tampa selects Joba Chamberlain with it’s last pick of the draft. Also, you guys should know that we took the kids to the Aquarium today where I went to the pool full of Rays and bonded with them. The Rays and I are now one. We have formed an unspoken allegiance and they stand ready at my beck and call. Their loyalty is unshakable. Their obedience is total. Their strength is undeniable. In short, it is ON.

Placido Polanco 2nd base. Is the final player drafted in the 2022 draft. 2022? Sounds like we are a little ahead of ourselves. I am not afraid of an animal restricted to the ocean even though a ray did kill America’s Favorite Aussie, Steve Irwin. The Athletics are complete, whole, and sound and looking for some team to take to the wood shed. Bottom line is that the Athletics haven’t seen a team this good since the juice was flowing through McGwire and Canseco like it came from Jamba.

Great, great pick, Bart. Just ask Ted - he loved Polanco last year so much it was criminal. And Polanco, in turn, loved hitting .500 against me for the season. I don’t think he committed a single error and his range is SICK. The A’s are truly a force. I’m glad I’m not in your division.
