After 12 Run deficit, Manny Wins It With Walk-off.
The Hairys and Slappers played two unbelievable games Tuesday night, the first game was…oh who gives a crap about the first game.
In the 2nd game The Hairys put together an offensive surge unseen so far this season in the first 2 innings quickly jumping out to a 8-0 lead and manager Utley , admittedly, started throwing things and making sure Beckett could pitch 175 pitches. There was some spark in the 3rd as the Slappers put together a few singles and scored 3 to make it 8-3. The Hairys were not through however, and scored 7 more runs in the 4th to make it 15-3. 5 HR’s and 17 hits later the Slappers had tied it up 15-15 in an unprecedented offensive onslaught. Then Manny Ramirez came up in the bottom of the 9th and sent the 1-0 pitch deep into the night at Bank One Ballpark to cap off the 13-run come from behind win.
I’m speechless, but those are the facts, and they are undisputed.
